Who We Are

CarterCares is a community-driven nonprofit organization dedicated to honoring the legacy of John and Louella Carter by serving people with compassion, dignity, and hope.

Inspired by a lifetime of welcoming others, meeting practical needs, and treating every person like family, we exist to carry that legacy forward through acts of service that strengthen individuals, families, and our community. We believe that true care extends beyond meeting immediate needs—it restores dignity, builds meaningful relationships, and reminds people they are never alone.

Through community partnerships, volunteerism, and initiatives that address food insecurity, caregiver support, wellness, and other essential needs, CarterCares strives to create lasting impact for generations to come.
